| The Kewanee Historical Society’s Robert and Marcella Richards Museum is located in downtown Kewanee, Illinois. Kewanee is 50 miles from Peoria to the southeast, 50 miles from Moline to the northwest and 130 miles west of Chicago. Kewanee sits on Illinois Routes 78 and 34. It is 10 miles south of Interstate 80 by way of Route 78 and 25 miles from Interstate 74, also by way of Route 78.
To find the museum in Kewanee get on Route 78 (Main Street). In the midst of downtown Kewanee, turn west onto Second Street. Travel two blocks to Chestnut Street. Cross Chestnut and turn into the parking lot directly on the right. The museum is adjacent to the parking lot to the north. You can’t miss the Kewanee mural on our south wall.
